Welcome to Our Web Page
When this web page began more than twenty years ago, it described most of the activities of our whole family. Now that most of our children have flown the coop, it is mostly about what Ann and I (Dave) have been up to. I update it most weekends. We save all the messages over the past year in an Archive along with links to what we were doing ten and twenty years ago.
You can click on the pictures above to get a bit more information about each of us.

Andrew and Alex
I have not taken any photos recently so this one is from when Katy, Andrew and Alex visited us a few weeks ago.
We have continued trying to be active, skating at least twice a week at the Oval or the RBC Centre and skiing when we have the time and the conditions allow. Last week was very cold so we did not ski and it looks as if Wednesday and Thursday of this week will be the same. We are going to go to Martock for a few hours tomorrow afternoon after Ann is finished at the food bank.
We have also had a couple of pickleball lessons in the gym at the church. That was not because we are particularly keen to take it up but, because so many people we know play, we think that we might be asked to fill in sometime and should have at least a rudimentary idea of how the game is played.
I have been spending a fair amount of time putting together a schedule of rides for the Ramblers as I am now officially their Ride Scheduler. Meanwhile Ann has been trying to keep up with her various book clubs and volunteering activities. Yesterday morning she helped prepare the Early Risers' Breakfast at the church and, as I write this, she is out with the ABC Book Club.
Last Saturday, Ann and I went for lunch at Il Mercato in honour of our friend Paddy's 80th birthday. (Paddy is one of the principal members of Ann's Mahjong group and, some years ago, was a regular when we went for dinner and then a show at Neptune.) There were about 15 to 20 family members and friends there to help her celebrate.
On Thursday afternoon, we parked outside Kim and Glen's, then walked to the Oval for a skate. Afterwards we returned to Kim and Glen's for a pizza dinner along with Ingrid and Mike, then we all went to Neptune to see Controlled Damage, a play about the life of Viola Desmond.
The following day, Cindy and Vicki came for tea. Ann prepared by going to Two If By Sea Café and getting several too many croissants and danishes. David and I did not complain.
I'm sorry to report that Louie has some as yet undiagnosed bladder problem which causes bloody urine and mild incontinence, luckily occurring (for now) not too far from his dirt box where it is not too difficult to clean up. It does not seem to bother him unduly but that may change. We are hoping that it is just a urinary tract infection but the vet has not ruled out something more serious. We are keeping our fingers crossed.
